The Corona Virus Pandemic has changed our world unlike anything we have ever experienced. We hope all of you and your family and friends are safe and healthy.

These trying and challenging times make us realize even more how fortunate, lucky and blessed we are to be living in this wonderful valley and community. For 22 years, since 1998, Ogden Valley Land Trust a tax deductible 501(3)(c) non-profit has worked to fulfill our mission “to preserve and protect open space within the Ogden Valley and surrounding area.”

OVLT currently holds conservation easements – voluntary easements private landowners place on their land that eliminate, curtail, and/or significantly reduce the development on their land in perpetuity. OVLT currently holds easements on nearly 6,000 acres in Ogden Valley and the surrounding area. These preserved and protected open spaces hold significant conservation, cultural, wildlife, and agricultural values.

Open spaces are life enhancing for current and future generations in so many different ways. Preserved, protected and well stewarded open space will allow our children, their children, and their children’s children to have the opportunity to experience our valley’s natural and cultural heritage that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to experience if all of the land in Ogden Valley gets developed to its maximum entitlement.

Preserving open lands isn’t easy. It takes visionary and generous landowner donor families. It takes money. It especially takes passionate, dedicated donor members like you who contribute financially to the Ogden Valley Land Trust so we can operate and fulfill our fiduciary responsibilities to hold in trust conservation easements that run concurrently on the land in perpetuity.

We need your help! Now, more than ever! Especially during this pandemic. Open lands are rapidly being developed and lost forever. Please, make a difference in your community, in your lives, and your families’ lives, by making a generous donation to the Ogden Valley Land Trust today so we can assist landowners in protecting and preserving precious valuable open space in our community forever.

Make a difference and become a monthly contributing sustaining member. Or make an annual contribution to OVLT today to protect and preserve open lands in our community and to positively impact and change countless lives for the better… now, tomorrow, and forever.

We can also provide you with information on planned giving if you would like to leave a personal or family legacy to the Ogden Valley Land Trust.

Yes! I support open lands now, and for future generations. I support changing lives and our community for the better. I will contribute.
